This may be due by a wrong color space conversion made by PowerPlotter reading the output of the virtual printer. You can solve this problem by setting PowerPlotter to open the PS files with a given color source, either RGB or CMYK according to the original colors of the file (CONFIGURATION / Program Preferences / Image Quality / PostScript Color Space). This will be solved in future releases of the RIP.

The easiest way is: select the Menu FILE / ADD PRINTER DRIVER and then press the button INTERNET, then select the required driver and media. Otherwise you can download them from the website, from the page Devstudio Products / Power Plotter / Drivers. (in the lower right side). Then you must select Brand / Model / Media Type, and save the file in your PC. Now you can activate the update procedure from the menu FILE / ADD PRINTER DRIVER from the RIP, and browse to the folder.

Within the period of validity of the update Licence you can download the Patch directly from Power Plotter in the menu FILE / CHECK PROGRAM UPDATE. Otherwise you can download it from our website in the section Devstudio Products / Power Plotter and select the proper link on the right. Then you must execute it from the PC in which Power Plotter is installed.

This phenomenon occurs if the images in the PS are converted with the wrong Color Space. You can see it if a CMYK file is opened as RGB, thus you will get oversaturated colors, while in the opposite way (an RGB file opened as CMYK) they will be less saturated. You will solve this problem by selecting the proper setting in menu CONFIGURATION / PREFERENCES / IMAGE QUALITY / POSTSCRIPT COLOR SPACE, and the restarting the program. After this change any PS image will be interpreted with the selected color mode, so you should reset to AUTO if you are not facing this error.
